Metal Crypt (In English)
Really?
One fucking song, and under three minutes!? Man, this band has to be
either starved for inspiration, stupid, or have a really expensive
recording studio. Sure this is meant to be a single but shouldn't a
full-length have been hot on the heels? I can't fathom why they
would go through the effort. They could have re-recorded the two
tracks from their demo and at least showed they had something more
to say for themselves. Ok, mini rant over.
The one track on offer is actually a damn fine slice of modern
technical death metal. They don't rely on being too flashy which is
always a plus, although they do indulge in some typical arpeggios
but at least it's not the overdone sweep and tap. There are some
cool riffs, the vocals are cool and best of all this gets my head
banging. Come on guys, next time let's have a little more to show.

Nihilistic Holocaust (In English)
The style of this Turkish band is incrustated in Brutal death metal,
but in a not too modern fashioned genre: It occurs to remind me of
old NECROPHAGIST (The demo or eventually the first album), SINISTER
("Creative killings"/ "Savage or grace") and CANNIBAL CORPSE ("Vile"
and some later stuffs, but not "Gallery of suicide" which was less
brutal). The riffing is more or less technical by moments, but not
too much. The tempo varies between the fast blasting moments and
slower parts.
The drums might be electronic, triggered or machine programmed, but
for the genre it doesn't bother.
There's nothing original, but this song is packed a quite efficient
way. I kinda like the nice dark red atmosphere (It wasn't erased by
a plastic production).
So CATASTROPHE might be quite cool for fans of the genre; What about
recording a longer demo?

Fatalgrind (in German)
Eine Katastrophe ist die Musik nun bestimmt nicht, lediglich einen
Song zu veröffentlichen und dann ein objektives Bild zu gewinnen ist
aber nahezu unmöglich und grenzt beinahe an eine Solche. Nun,
CATASTROPHE stammen aus der Türkei und spielen recht ansprechenden
Death Metal mit leichter Thrash Schlagseite und anständigem
technischen Know How. In etwa in Richtung VADER, schnell,
vielschichtig und gut umgesetzt. Der vorgestellte Song kann sowohl
prügeln als auch in gezügeltem Tempo für anspruchsvollere
Unterhaltung sorgen. Er enthält in keinster Weise Lückenfüller
sondern ist durchweg straff strukturiert und steht für echten Death
Metal. Warum es den fünf Burschen nicht gelungen ist, mehr
verwertbare Songs zu schreiben, bleibt mir ein Rätsel, denn wer so
ein recht gutes Stück präsentiert, der muss doch auch noch mehr auf
der Pfanne haben. Da bleibt doch tatsächlich nur zu hoffen, dass die
aktiver werden und mehr Verwertbares abliefern, denn nach gerade mal
einem magern Nümmerchen ließ sich noch keine Mutter erneut auf den
Rücken legen, auch wenn der Fick gut war. Strengt euch mal ein
bisschen an hinterm Bosporus und überzeugt uns mal, da geht doch
bestimmt noch was. Und wen von euch das nun trotzdem interessiert,
der hört sich „Atrocious Chaos“ im Netz an, das sollte genügen:

Supreme Brutality (in English)
Atrocious Chaos is the latest single from the Turkish death metal
band Catastrophe. The music is conventional, but the five-piece do
come up with some good death metal in the vein of Krisiun and Vader.
In particular the vocals remind me of the aforementioned, but the
music itself is not all that different too.
"Atrocious Chaos" is diverse and the band show that they can play
both fast and slow without overdoing one or the other. However I
admit it's very difficult to form an exact opinion about the music
when "Atrocious Chaos" is the only song to judge the band by, but if
it can be used as a guideline then it will be interesting to hear
what else these five Turks can come up with.

Grup teknik death metal
yapıyor denilebilir.
Davullar kısmen teknik, kısmen blast ağırlıklı olmuş. Müziğin
yavaşladığı bölümlerdeki blastları güzel olmuş. Hızlı bölümlerdeki
atraksiyonlarda gayet hoş.
Gitarlarda ilk girişte bir Suffocation havası sezsemde daha sonradan
klasik teknik death metale kayan bir yapıya dönüştü. Karmaşık ve
ilginç atraksiyonlar yapılmış. Güzel olmuş.
Vokal anladığım kadarıyla Necrophagist vokalinin stiline uğraşıyor.
Vokal yer yer Suffocation'un Souls To Deny albümündeki vokalin
havasını veriyor. Yaptıkları müzik türüne uygun bir brutal vokal
olmuş.
Kayıt gayet temiz. Nerede kayıt yapıldı bilemiyorum. Fakat single'a
bakarak, gelecek albüm temiz bir kayıda sahip olacak diyebilirim.
Vokal,müzik,kayıt göz önüne alındığında 10 üzerinden 8.5'u hak
ederler diyorum.
